COLNAGO EXTREME POWER
Colnago’s top for 2008 Extreme-Power is the most innovative bicycle in the Colnago range. The Extreme-Power was born to meet the demands of sprinters Alessandro Petacchi and Erik Zabel of Team Milram and three time World Champion Oscar Freire of Team Rabobank who all have a power output of 180 kg for each pedal stroke. Extreme-Power frames have special conical oversize down tube and top tube tubing, with a 38mm diameter head tube and 44mm bottom bracket. Inside these special butted Extreme-Power tubes are two unidirectional high modulus carbon fibre longitudinal reinforcement ribs that are 10mm wide and 0.8mm thick. These internal reinforcements provide 30% more resistance to torsional stress than before, while the 35mm diameter seat tube accommodates a 31.6mm oversize seat post. The bottom bracket has a easily removable CNC Titanium insert to facilitate maintenance. Extreme-Power’s rear chain stays are in Colnago’s distinctive Leaf shaped form, with a new oval 17*35mm insert into the bottom bracket. The fork of this model will be Colnago Carbon 75 (1” 1\8). For 2008, Colnago has all new graphics that give the Extreme Power a new and exciting look. Extreme-Power is available in 14 traditional sizes from 52 c\t to 65 c\t , 8 sloping sizes and the Extreme-Power can also be made in personalized custom sizes.
